A prayer point for right now
“There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up” (Proverbs 21:20). Because this Word is true, I declare that the devourer shall have no place in my life, in Jesus’ name.

By the authority of Luke 12:15, I decree an end to impulse spending, and I receive God’s wisdom for my spending.
-
Father, Your Word says, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15). Deliver me from impulse spending and let my spending honour You, in Jesus’ name.
-
In Jesus’ name I resist impulse spending (Luke 12:15). I close every door I opened to it, and I receive the help You have provided.
-
Lord, I lift my hands in thanksgiving. As Luke 12:15 says, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth”, I receive my breakthrough over impulse spending.
-
I confess with my mouth what Luke 12:15 says: “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth”. This is my portion concerning impulse spending.
-
Father, I lift up everyone struggling with impulse spending today. Let Luke 12:15 be fulfilled in their lives.
-
Standing on Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have”, I renounce impulse spending and choose to honour God with my spending, in the name of Jesus.
-
Lord, according to Hebrews 13:5, free my spending from impulse spending and make me faithful with all You give me.
-
Hebrews 13:5 says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have”. I will not be mastered by impulse spending; by Your Spirit I take one faithful step at a time.
-
Thank You, Lord, for Hebrews 13:5: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have”. I thank You in advance for turning impulse spending into a testimony.
-
My faith rests on Hebrews 13:5. Therefore impulse spending will not have the final word over my spending.
-
Lord, as I pray for families under financial pressure tonight, especially those facing impulse spending, open Your good treasure to them (Hebrews 13:5).
